SSC CHSL Application Form 2016

SSC CHSL Application Form 2016: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts every year CHSL Exam (combined higher secondary level, 10+2) to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operators (DEO), Postal/Sorting Assistant & Court Clerk in central government offices, departments and ministries. Here we would like to inform you that the last date of applying CHSL Application Form 2016 online has been extended till 25 Nov 2016, 5:00 pm.

So those candidates who did not apply yet, they can apply now through official website of Staff Selection Commission ( Registration process of SSC CHSL Exam 2016 has been started from 8 October 2016. Interested and eligible candidates can apply themselves for CHSL Exam 2016 through online mode only.

Important Dates - SSC CHSL Application Form 2016

1. Application Form Begin Date: 8 OCT 2016
2. Offline Challan Generation End Date: 23 Nov 2016 (till 5:00 pm)
3. Applying Online Application End Date: 25 Nov 2016 (till 5:00 pm)
4. Last Date of Registration: 25 Nov 2016 (till 5:00 pm)

How to Apply For SSC CHSL Exam 2016?

Candidates can apply for the SSC CHSL exam 2016 through online mode only on or before 25 Nov 2016 (till 5:00 pm). Procedure of filling the application form through online mode given here below:-

1. First visit the website, and jump over the heading "Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2016" then click on the "Apply" link which will be in blue colour.
After that you will be redirected on website that is "Application Form Window" as given in below picture.

2. SSC CHSL application form 2016 has mainly three parts i.e. "Registration Part", "Instructions to Candidates" and "Apply Part".

3. Candidates must have to read the important instructions carefully before filling the SSC CHSL Exam Application Form 2016 under "Instructions to Candidates".

4. Then candidates have to fill basic required details in "Registration Part" i.e. Name, Father Name, Address, DOB, Education etc.

5. And in finally "Apply Part", candidates need to pay application fee, upload scanned photograph and signature in proper size and dimensions as described in "Instructions to Candidates".

Pay Scale and Grade Pay - SSC CHSL 2016

1. Court Clerk: Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1900
2. LDC (Lower Division Clerk): Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1900
3. DEO (Data Entry Operator): Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400
4. Postal/Sorting Assistant: Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400

Application Form Fee
Candidates have to pay fee of Rs. 100. The application fee will not be applicable for females, SC, ST & PH candidates. Candidates can pay application fee through SBI challan/ net-banking/ credit or debit cards.

Candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th, 10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.

Age Limit
Age must be lies between 18-27 years on Jan 01 2016, where the minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 27 years.

Reservation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Ex.S/ PH categories will be applicable as per Government rules.

Selection Procedure in SSC CHSL Exam 2016 (3 Steps)

1st Step (Online Mode): Tier-1 Exam (Objective Type)

Pattern & Syllabus
  • There will be 4 parts in exam. (Part-1) General Intelligence, (Part-2) English Language, (Part-3) Quantitative Aptitude, and (Part-4) General Awareness / General Knowledge.
  • Exam will contain 100 questions for 200 marks (Each question will carry 2 marks).
  • Duration of the exam is 1 Hour and 15 Minutes.
  • Question paper will be in both English & Hindi language for parts 1, 3 & 4.
  • Negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer
2nd Step (Offline Mode): Tier-2 Exam (Descriptive Type) (100 Marks)

Pattern & Syllabus
  • Exam will be descriptive type and will be conducted offline.
  • Candidates need to write essay / letters / application writing etc.
  • Exam will carry 100 marks and exam duration will be 1 Hour.
  • Exam will have to be written either in Hindi or in English.
3rd Step: Tier-3 Skill Test / Typing Test

Pattern & Syllabus
  • Typing Test: 35 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi.
  • Skill Test: 8000 key depressions per hour as a Data entry speed on computer.
